Teaching is so much easier with shared sources and technology. Here are some good sources to start with. I will gladly add anything you would like to share.

  • Teacher Network A great site from New York. A one stop shop for lesson plans, grants, help, ideas and more. There is a lot of special help for new teachers.

  • Math Lesson Plans In this site you will find worksheets, puzzles, tips, and other ideas for math lessons in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus.

  • Newberry Library Lessons Here you will find map-based lesson plans for grades K-12. The lesson plans include a variety of subject areas and grade levels.

  • Mock Election Lesson Plans This site from New Hampshire has everything you will need to run a mock election in your class or school. Great for an elections year.

  • Shedd Aquarium Adventures This would be a great site for science or marine biology. Take a trip to the Shedd Aquarium and have a virtual field trip. Lesson plans, activities, tours, even build a fish it is all here.

  • Teachable Moments Student readings and classroom activities are available for elementary school, middle school, and high school levels. Topics include current domestic & international events, conflict resolution, and intercultural understanding.


  • Teacher Tube This is a fun and useful site. Teachers from all over have contributed both very fun and very useful videos.
